We help professionals approaching retirement make informed decisions about taxes, investments, retirement income, and the wealth they’ve built.
We work with retirees, near-retirees, and families seeking coordinated investment management, retirement planning, and independent financial guidance.
I know that making a major financial or career change can be intimidating.
I grew up in Brooklyn, New York, and began my career in financial services in 2004 at GE Capital in New York City. Over the next two decades, I built a career that included leadership, executive, and advisory roles at several large Fortune 500 financial institutions.
For the past 13 years, I’ve held leadership roles overseeing banks, bankers, teams, and financial advisors in Colorado and New Mexico, including Denver and Santa Fe. Eventually, I made the decision to leave that career and build something of my own. It wasn’t an easy decision. I had a successful career, stable income, and years of professional relationships and experience behind me. Walking away from that was daunting.
With the help of other professionals and a clear plan, I was able to figure out what I wanted and take the steps to build it. That experience shaped how I think about financial planning today. Major financial decisions aren’t made in isolation. They often involve career changes, retirement, family, taxes, investments, and decisions about how you want the next chapter of your life to look.
Before founding Inclinevest, I spent more than two decades in financial services, including leadership, executive, and advisory roles within large Fortune 500 financial institutions. My career began at GE Capital in New York City and later included UBS Financial Services, U.S. Bank, and BBVA, now PNC Bank.
As a Wealth Planning Analyst at UBS, I worked directly on financial and investment strategies for high-net-worth households. Over the past 13 years, I’ve led teams and managed banks in Denver and Santa Fe, while also working closely with financial advisors and other professionals serving clients.
These experiences gave me a firsthand understanding of both the resources available through large financial institutions and the limitations that can come with traditional advisory models. They also gave me a broad perspective on how financial decisions are made from both the client and advisor side of the relationship.
Today, I work directly with clients approaching and entering retirement, helping them make informed decisions around retirement income, investments, tax-efficient withdrawal strategies, and long-term wealth preservation. My approach combines comprehensive financial planning with evidence-based investing and a focus on making complex decisions easier to understand and act on.
As a fee-only fiduciary advisor, I’m committed to providing objective advice aligned with my clients’ goals rather than product sales or commissions.
I hold an MBA and bachelor’s degree from InterAmerican University and completed additional studies in financial planning at Northwestern University as part of my path to becoming a CFP® professional. I’m also a graduate of the College for Financial Planning in Denver. I continue to stay engaged with the financial planning profession through ongoing education, professional communities, and industry conferences.

An overview of my experience, approach, and the type of clients I work best with, along with the clarity and structure you can expect from the relationship.
Before founding Inclinevest Gabriel Motta worked within large financial institutions serving high-net-worth clients.
I held leadership roles at BBVA and U.S. Bank and later worked as a Wealth Planning Analyst at UBS in Colorado, where I built comprehensive financial and investment plans for complex households.
That experience gave me a clear understanding of two things: what high-quality financial planning should look like in practice, and where it often falls short in traditional advisory environments.
Gabriel Motta a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) professional and holds an MBA, supporting both the technical and strategic aspects of the planning process.
I am also a member of:
These affiliations reflect a commitment to fiduciary standards, ongoing education, and acting in the best interest of clients.
My clients are typically:
They value clarity, objectivity, and having a trusted advisor to help navigate complex financial decisions over time.
My focus is on building long-term relationships where I can stay engaged and help guide decisions as life evolves.
If that sounds like you, we will likely work well together.
Clients who work with me typically gain:
Outside of financial planning, I spend time with my wife traveling, exploring new places, and staying active outdoors.
I enjoy road trips, international travel, and time on the trails here in Colorado.
I also have a strong interest in history and tend to gravitate toward nonfiction and autobiographies. I stay engaged through podcasts and perspectives beyond the financial industry.
I’ve been interested in financial markets for as long as I can remember. As a kid, I spent time stock trading, often making mistakes along the way. That early curiosity shaped how I think about investing today and reinforced the importance of discipline, patience, and long-term thinking.
I continue to stay active in the industry through conferences and planning groups, helping me bring a well-informed perspective to the clients I work with.
The first conversation is straightforward and pressure-free.
I want to understand your situation, your goals, and what you are trying to accomplish. From there, I’ll give you a clear answer on whether I can help.
If I’m not the right fit, I’ll say so and point you in the right direction.
I work best with clients who value a long-term relationship with an advisor who can guide them through every stage of their financial life.
No obligation. Just a conversation.
